The management of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger, MAAUN Maradi, has congratulated President Mohamed Bazoum over his inauguration as the new President of Niger Republic.
The swearing-in ceremony of Mr Bazoum was conducted at the Mahatma Gandhi International Conference Centre, Niamey on Friday, April 2.
The President and Founder of MAAUN, Professor Adamu Gwarzo on behalf of the management of the university sent the congratulatory message to the new President of Niger in a letter he personally signed and issued issued to journalists in Kano on Friday.
While wishing the new President a successful tenure in office, Mr Gwarzo prayed to God to guide and give him the wisdom to steer the leadership of the country.
The university described Mr Bazoum as a committed and patriotic leader who will bring development to the country in various aspects.
“We pray that as he assumes office today, may the almighty Allah help him to succeed,” the letter said.
The management of the university expressed the hope that the cordial relationship existing between the government of former president Mahamadou Issoufou and the university would be sustained by the new administration.
