Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has donated the sum of N100million to Borno State Government to support victims of flood disaster.

The governor also expressed his condolences to the government and the people of Borno State over the disaster.

A statement issued by the governor’s media aide, Suleiman Idris, said the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, announced the donation when he led a delegation to sympathise with Governor Babagana Zulum on Thursday.

Mr Idris quoted Mr Nakwada as saying that the purpose of the visit was to sympathise with the government and the people of the state over the recent heart-touching incident.

He said: “On behalf of the people and government of Zamfara State, I write to express our deepest sympathy for the recent devastating flood resulting from the overflow of water from the Alu Dam.”
