Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has reportedly appointed two members of opposition parties as officials in his cabinet.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that Governor Makinde on Thursday, approved the appointment of Bolaji Ayorinde as his special counsel.
Recall that Mr Ayorinde was the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the state during the 2019 governorship election.

Also, Mr Aderibigbe was the ADC candidate for the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the February 23 House of Representatives election.
According to the statement, Wale Onaolapo was also appointed as the chairman of the Oyo State Security Trust Fund.
A former principal protocol officer of the University of Ibadan, Gboyega Badejo, was similarly appointed as the director-general (protocol) to the governor.
The appointments were contained in a statement signed by the chief press secretary to the governor, Taiwo Adisa.
