Matawalle donates N10m to victims of Yan-katako Market fire disaster

Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has donated the sum of N10 million to victims of a fire disaster at the Yan-katako Market in Gusau Town.

A statement signed by the governor’s special adviser on media and publicity, Zailani Bappa, Monday, said the governor gave the donation on behalf of the state government.

Commiserating with the victims, Governor Matawalle urged them to consider the disaster as a Will of God, praying that the incident serves as an avenue to open more doors for their business.

“God Almighty knows why this had to happen to you. But I urge you to consider it as a test from our creator and I pray that it serves as an opening to better things for you to come”, the governor said while inspecting the extent of damages at the market site.

Expressing their delight to the governor, Chairman of the market’s association, Ibrahim Ka-fi-lissafi thanked the governor for his kindness.

Mr Ka-fi-lissafi urged the governor to continue with the good work, promising that they would always support his administration.
