A former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development during the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua administration, Abba Sayyadi Ruma, is dead. He was 59.
A family source, Sada Ruma, confirmed the death to DAILY NIGERIAN.
According to him, the former minister died at a London Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
Born on March 13, 1962, Mr Ruma was chairman, Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development headquartered, Rome, Italy.
The late minister obtained a Bachelor of Art degree in History from the University of Sokoto, a Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a PhD in International Relations from the University of Abuja.
