A renowned entrepreneur, author and consultant, Musbahu El Yakub, has launched his second book on business management philosophy and entrepreneurship success.
The book, which is titled “Mindful Entrepreneurship: Insightful Business Management Philosophies and Practices for Success,” was launched at an event in Abuja on Thursday.
Speaking at the event, the special guest of honour and Minister of State for Works and Housing, Umar El-Yaqub, extolled the intellectual prowess of the author in business management and entrepreneurship growth in the last few decades.
He described Mr Yaqub as a passionate individual who has excelled in his diverse field of endeavors.
“I’m not surprised by what Musbahu has been able to achieve in terms of intellectual capacity. I used to ask him, who are you actually? because he started as a science student, and later became a science teacher, worked in the bank, worked in commodities, doing computer business, and now entrepreneurship, he does literally everything,” he said.
While congratulating the author, the minister noted that the book will benefit a lot of Nigerians and provide solutions to challenges faced by entrepreneurs.

In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Abubakar Mahmoud, SAN, said the book came at a time it is most needed.
He said the book would address the challenges of rising unemployment in the country and give career guidance, especially to fresh graduates.
He lamented the increasing desires of most graduates to seek jobs in top government agencies despite limited numbers of slots.
“Mindful entrepreneurship could not have come at a better time. Our country is at a crossroads of sorts. There is rising inflation, rising number of unemployed, particularly among the university graduates churned out every year.
“For instance, Nigerian universities admit close to 2 million students and graduate about 600 thousand every year. This is a very condemnable position for any country to find itself in, and it is a recipe for crisis,” he said.
While narrating the inspiration behind the book, Mr Yakubu said he has been an ardent lover of books right from his childhood.
He, however, said he never thought about writing books on entrepreneurship and business based on his background in his physics and sciences.
Other speakers at the event include the chief host, Adeleke Adigu, the chairman of Mafab Communications, Musbahu Bashir, who was represented by his wife, Saadat Hamza.
The book was reviewed by Eunice Adegbola, while the CEO of Daily Trust, Mounir Gwarzo, delivered the keynote address.
