A member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, representing Nasarawa central, Sule Adamu, has died of coronavirus.

Governor Abdullahi Sule disclosed this on Sunday while briefing newsmen on the update of COVID-19 in the state.

Mr Sule said the state’s House of Assembly would also be shut down and all the state lawmakers should be quarantined to contain the spread of the virus in the state.

It was gathered that late Ibrahim was rushed to the FMC Keffi when he developed symptoms and after treating malaria in three different facilities in Nasarawa Local Government Area, his home town.

The deceased lawmaker later died Thursday night and was given a befitting burial on Friday, with most members of the State Assembly, families, and friends in attendance.

Credible sources revealed that most of the health workers in both the three facilities where he treated malaria and the FMC Keffi treated the lawmaker without personal protective equipment, PPEs, on.

There are indications, therefore, that the State Government might quarantine all the
health workers to curb the possible spread of the virus.
