Nasiru Koguna has emerged the gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, in Kano State, for the 2023 election.
Mr Koguna clinched the gubernatorial ticket through consensus on Monday in Kano.
Tijjani Lawan, who supervised the process from the party’s national headquarters, announced Mr Koguna as the party gubernatorial candidate.
He also announced Nafiu Haruna as the senatorial candidate for Kano Central, Habibu Lawan, Kano North and Aliyu Habibu, Kano South, respectively.
Mr Lawan added that the party had filled candidates for all the 24 seats of the House of Representatives and 40 State House of Assembly seats, respectively.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Koguna solicited for the contributions of the members for the success of the party in 2023 elections.
He urged them to intensify efforts in enlightening the people on the need to obtain Permanent Voter Cards, PVC, to enable them vote during the election.
Mr Koguna said if elected, had a lot of policies and programmes that would assist in improving the living conditions of the people and to move the state forward.
