The newly appointed Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Kemi Nandap, has withdrawn the posting of some personnel recently deployed to Nigerian embassies abroad as immigration attaches.

Recall that the immediate past CG, Caroline Wura-Ola, had in January approved the posting of the immigration officers to different Nigerian embassies in Europe, the United States, Asia, and African countries.

But following a change of leadership, the service mandated the affected personnel to cancel plans to resume at the foreign posting and return to their original duty post.

However, a circular signed on Tuesday by the Assistant Comptroller General, GC Didel, said the new directive was to enable the service “effect certain procedural and administrative issues”.
