Following the dethronement of Muhammadu Sanusi as the Emir of Kano, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has urged Kano residents to be law-abiding, assuring them that a new emir will soon be appointed.

Recall that the governor, in a press release read by the secretary of the state government, Usman Alhaji, had dethroned the emir over what he described as the emir’s total disrespect to the provisions of the Kano emirate law.

The emir, according to the SSG, was persistently refusing to attend official meetings and programmes organized by the state government without any lawful justification which amount to total insubordination.
