The newly-sworn-in governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has attended his first National Economic Council meeting with vice president, 36 governors, CBN governor, among others.
NEC was established by the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999), as amended, Third Schedule, Part I, Section 153: Sub section (18 & 19).
Governor Bello appeared all smiles as he joined his colleagues for the fiirst time to discuss issues and challenges facing the development of the country at national and state levels.
President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated the council in June last year for the current dispensation.
