According to him, the method helps retain moisture on the soil so that trees can grow efficiently.
“This method has been in practice in many African countries like Burkina Faso and many others,” he said.
He, however, noted that the most important thing was the introduction and the use of a gross water box, which retains water from three to five months, and could be used many times.
“We need to implore methods in which we can make use of our flowing water efficiently, especially that we need to conserve water,” he said, adding that the meeting would go a long way in guiding the personnel on how to effectively implement ideas and formulations of the Agency.
