Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has urged Nigerians to continue to embrace the spirit of patriotism and unity that the Independence Day portrays.

Mr Radda said this in a message to commemorate 64th Nigeria’s Independence Day by his media aide, Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, on Tuesday in Katsina.

“Today, we celebrate not just our freedom, but the indomitable spirit of unity and resilience that has propelled us through challenges and triumphs alike.

“As we commemorate this milestone, we renew our commitment to the ideals of our founding fathers and the promise of a greater Nigeria.

“We should embrace the spirit of patriotism and unity that Independence Day portrays.

“Let us channel the same spirit of determination and hope that guided our forebears in their quest for independence.

“With our joint efforts, we can overcome current challenges and build a Katsina State and a Nigeria that we can all be proud of.
“Let us stand united as brothers and sisters, bound by our shared heritage and aspirations of a prosperous and peaceful nation,” he said.

He further said that people of the state have a unique responsibility to contribute to the progress of the state and the nation.

While reiterating commitment to a transparent and inclusive governance, Radda urged the people to embrace peace, harmony, cooperation and work tirelessly towards building a brighter future for future generations.
