The 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri has alerted the residents to be cautious of the new tactics of suicide attacks devised by the insurgents.
There has been a wave of suicide attacks recently in the North East, particularly in Borno and Yobe State, following the routing of the terrorists in the Sambisa Forests.
Spokesman for the division, Mustapha Anka, in a statement said in their desperation to wreak havoc on innocent civilians, Boko Haram terrorists have now resorted to trailing people to their houses.
“This is to draw the attention of the general public to the recent trend used by desperate remnants of Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT).
“Recently, two female suicide bombers knocked at the door of one Bulama and Usman about 200 meters apart in Kalari general area of Maiduguri.
“The daughter of the Bulama opened the door, while Usman himself opened his own door. When the doors were opened, the suicide bombers immediately detonated their suicide vest. The unsuspected little girl, Usman including the two female suicide bombers died on the spot,” the statement cited instance.
