The Nigerian Film Corporation, NFC, has promised to promote professionalism and regular training of stakeholders within the film industry in the country.

Ali Nuhu, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NFC, said this shortly after he took over mantle of leadership of corporation on Tuesday in Jos.

Mr Nuhu promised to scale up training and retraining, adding that such move would nurture talent and enhance professionalism.

The managing director further promised to advocate for the formulation and implementation of robust policies and regulatory framework in the film industry.

”I will spearhead the development of film production infrastructure to boost growth and ensure competitiveness in the industry.

”I will elevate the visibility of Nigerian films both domestically and globally.

“I intend to cultivate strategic partnerships with the public and private sectors, as well as international stakeholders to foster innovation, attract investment and facilitate co-production,“ he said.

Mr Nuhu, who thanked President Bola Tinubu for appointing him as managing director, promised not to fail Nigerians.
