Nigerian troops have repelled an attack by the bandit terrorists at Kwanar Dan Daudu in Munya local Government area of Niger State on Sunday.
The state commissioner for Local Government and Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar, who confirmed the development in an exclusive interview with DAILY NIGERIAN explained that the troops were supported by reinforced security assets mobilized and deployed.
He said the terrorists in large numbers on motorcycle were repelled after a fierce of engagement by the troops situated at Kwanar Dan Daudu.
The commissioner explained that many of the bandits were killed while some sustained various degrees of injuries.
He however said one of the security was killed during the encounter.
Mr Umar reiterated the government commitment in ensuring the safety of lives and property of the people.
