A notorious bandit leader, Isuhu Madele, aka Dan Isuhu, has been killed in an ambush by a rival gang loyal to Dogo Gide.

Mr Dan Isuhu had terrorised Tsafe and neighboring communities, Dansadau, Sabuwa and some parts of Gusau in Zamfara State as well as Faskari, Kankara and Funtua in Katsina State.

Security sources who confirmed the death of the bandit leader to DAILY NIGERIAN said the clash occurred on Thursday at Danjibga village in Danjibga district of Tsafe Local Government Area.

As a result of the gunshot injuries, the sources said Mr Dan Isuhu sustained on his head.

Members of his gang therefore rushed him to Kunchin Kalgo Dispensary where he was confirmed dead.

“Report indicated that there was long misunderstanding between the two groups whereby Madele killed several loyalists of Gide.

“In a retaliatory attack, the Dogo Gide gang ambushed Dan Isuhu on his way to Keta to reinforce another set of bandits engaged in another gun duel with a joint team of security forces, community protection guards (CPG) and service asset.

“Furthermore, the bandits invaded Kunchin Kalgo village, shooting sporadically in an attempt to rescue Dan Isuhu.

Meanwhile, the terrorists scampered to Dangajeru forest with the corpse of the deceased bandit kingpin.

There was a state of pandemonium in both Danjibga and Kunchin Kalgo villages as several people were caught in the crossfire during the gun duel.
