The Nasarawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, on Thursday paraded a 42-year-old Ayuba John for allegedly selling off his daughter for rituals.
Parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Lafia, the NSCDC Commandant, Gidada Fari, disclosed that the suspect was arrested while attempting to sell off his second son, Solomon John, for N5million in the state capital.
Mr Fari explained that after gathering information on the suspect’s activities, the command’s intelligence unit disguised as potential buyers and approached Mr John.
According to the commandant, after a short bargain, the suspect agreed to sell his three-year-old son for N5million.
The commandant disclosed that after the suspect’s arrest, he confessed to having sold off his first daughter to some ritualists in Warri, Delta State.

“Our officers disguised as buyers and arrested him at the point of payment.
“He has 21 children and five wives but he has divorced one of the wives,” Mr Fari disclosed.
Meanwhile, the command also paraded a 45-year-old man, Garba Wamba, for allegedly raping a 10-year-old daughter of his neighbour.
However, during interrogation, the suspect insisted that the girl was 17 years old and had agreed to sleep with him after promising to buy her a school bag.
