NUC boss commissions MAAUN Kano twin-lecture theatre named after him

The Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, NUC, Prof. Abubakar Adamu-Rasheed on Monday commissioned the Twin Lecture Theatre named after him at the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, MAAUN, Kano State.

Mr Rasheed, who unveiled the building during a brief ceremony on Tuesday, expressed satisfaction with the facilities put in place, thanking the university management for naming the facility after him.

He commended the Founder and Chairman Governing Council of MAAUN, Prof. Adamu Abubakar-Gwarzo, for his contribution towards uplifting the standard of education in Nigeria and beyond.

After commissioning the edifice, Mr Rasheed was conducted round some places in the university, including the Murtala Ramat Mohammed library, Ibrahim Usman Yakasai Sports Complex and School of Health Sciences.

During the event, the NUC boss was accompanied by Prof. Gwarzo, Vice President Administration of MAAUN, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, Vice President Campus Life, Dr. Hamza Garba and Prof. Ibrahim Usman Yakasai.

Others were the Dean, School of Social and Management Sciences, Dr. Mahmoud Muktar Sa’id and Vice President Finance, Dauda Abdulrazaq Kayode, among others.
