NUC grants full accreditation to 15 MAAUN academic programs

The National Universities Commission, NUC, has granted full accreditation status on 15 Academic Programmes of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, MAAUN.

The results of the full accreditation was contained in a letter dated 6th June, 2024 signed by the Acting Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the commission and conveyed to the President of the University.

The accreditation of the Academic Programmes at the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria was conducted by the NUC between October and November 2023.

In the letter conveying the results of the Resource Verification/ Accreditation Program, the NUC said it has granted the accreditation status on the 15 undergraduate programs of the university.

The accredited programs include Bsc Accounting, Bsc Human Resource Management, Bsc Business Administration and Bsc Banking and Finance.

Others are Bsc Medical Laboratory Sciences, BNsc Nursing Science, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Bsc Computer Science, Bsc. Cyber Security, Bsc Information Technology and Bsc Software Engineering.

Also granted full accreditation are Bsc Economics, Bsc. International Relations, Bsc Mass Communication and Bsc Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.

Commenting on the results, the President of MAAUN, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr lauded the Faculty members and other staff for their commitment and hard work which resulted in getting the full accreditation of the programs.

He noted that the entire staff of the university deserve to be commended for their contributions towards the attainment of the full accreditation of the 15 programs.

Prof. Israr said the university would continue to do its best to ensure that its students are given quality education.
