The Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta state has been accredited to begin undergraduate degree programmes from the 2017/2018 academic session.

The accreditation was granted by the National Universities Commission, NUC.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, said the approval underscored government’s commitment to develop Niger Delta in line with the administration’s new vision to develop the region.
