Former heads of States, Yakubu Gowon, Abdulsalam Abubakar and former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President and Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, are currently attending the book launch of former President, Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
The book launch is taking place at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton hotel in Abuja.
However, Mr Obasanjo’s entrance into the hall caused some pandemonium as he arrived belatedly to a rapturous reception.
He came into the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja at about 1.50pm just as the Book Reviewer, Justice Alpha Belgore, was being invited to make his presentation.
The attention of the packed hall was immediately focused on him as he had a hard time making his way to the high table because of a surging crowd of admirers.
He was closely followed by the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, whose presence apparently caught people by surprise considering his fierce criticism of the former president.
The former Edo state governor, however, seized the moment, walking to the high table for a photo opportunity with Jonathan to applause from the audience.
Also present at the book launch are former President of Ghana, John Mahama, President of AfDB, Akinwumi Adesina and some governors elected under PDP.
President Muhammadu Buhari is represented at the event by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
Also present at the book launch are Federal and state legislatures elected under PDP.
The book: “My transition Hours” gives an account of what happened in the build up to 2014 elections.
