The Katsina State Commissioner of Information, Culture and Home Affairs, Hamza Brodo, has described the recent attack on President Muhammadu Buhari by former President Olusegun Obasanjo as selfish and diversionary.

Mr Brodo, who stated this while addressing a news conference in Katsina on Monday, said that the outburst of the ex-president has demonstrated that the Buhari-led administration is on course in taking Nigeria to the next level.

‘‘Some people are not happy with President Buhari because he has blocked all channels of stealing Nigeria’s funds,”he said.

“Many people consider the former president as someone who has turned himself to pathological critic of every government in power,” he said.

The commissioner, therefore, called on Nigerians to remain focus, saying that Obasanjo cannot influence votes even in his home town, because a lot of his people have since abandoned him and join the Buhari train.

He further urged APC leaders and supporters to remain focus and not to be distracted by such statements.
