Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has sacked the state Commissioner for Roads and Bridges, Newton Okojie, over alleged poor performance.

In a statement on Monday, the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Osa-Nehikhare, said the governor sacked the commissioner following his inability to deliver on the goals of the state government.
