The much anticipated resumption of the newly elected National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole may no longer hold on Monday following an appeal by the former Chairman, John Odigie Oyegun that the hand over note was not ready.
Mr Oshiomhole had announced on Sunday that he will be resuming at the national Secretariat at 8.00am on Monday, but Mr Oyegun was said to have pleaded for addition time to enable him finalise the hand over note.
However, Staff of the national Secretariat and journalists covering the party are anxiously waiting for the newly elected Chairman of the party Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to resume at the Secretariat.
Some of the staff whose principal are not returning to the National Working Committee were seen clearing their desk, while others were seen hanging around the Secretariat in group discussing the outcome of the convention.
Campaign posters that littered the Secretariat before the election has disappeared, while congratulatory banners taken over.
A source within the party told The Nation that “Mr Oshiomhole is anxious to resume. But the hand over note is not ready yet.
The former chairman pleaded that he be given till the end of today to finalise the hand over note.
So, Oshiomhole will not be coming to the Secretariat today again. He will be here tomorrow when the hand over would be done”.
It was however gathered that Comrade Oshiomhole held a closed door meeting with some APC governors at his residence in readiness for the task ahead.
