The acting president, Yemi Osinbajo, has arrived Calabar, the Cross River state capital, on an official visit that will see him commission the state’s monorail and other projects executed by the state governor, Ben Ayade.
Mr Osinbajo was received at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport by the state governor, who later proceeded to the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Otu V, for a courtesy visit at his palace.
During the visit, Mr Osinbajo will commission the Calabar Monorail, the Calabar International Convention Centre, and the Cross River Garment Factory.
He will thereafter visit the Calabar Rice City located at the Mr Ayade Industrial Park, and also inspect the Calabar Pharmaceutical Company both of which are currently under construction.
Mr Osinbajo will wrap up his official visit to the state with a Town Hall meeting and clinic to engage with owners of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Cross River.
