The acting president, Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday said only the president can disclose his health status to Nigerians at an appropriate time.
Speaking to State House reporters on Monday, the vice president said the he had a long telephone conversation with President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday.
Mr Osinbajo said he briefed the president about the developments in the country, especially the 2017 Budget and the on-going protests.
Asked why Nigerians could not know the president’s health condition, Mr Osinbajo gave assurance that the president is hale and hearty, noting that he (president) would reveal his health status to Nigerians at appropriate time.
The acting president earlier had a closed door meeting with the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, John Odigie-Oyegun, his political adviser Babafemi Ojudu and president’s aide on diaspora matters, Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
