The All Progressives Congress, APC, has accused the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, of sponsoring 2023 campaign posters of some members of the ruling party to cause confusion.
DAILY NIGERIAN observed that different posters showing APC national leader Bola Tinubu and Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State allegedly eyeing the presidency in 2023 had been littering the streets of major cities across the country.
However, both Messrs Tinubu and El-Rufai had distanced themselves from these posters and the various campaign movements purporting to be working for them.
But the APC spokesman, Lanre Issa-Onilu, who spoke with newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, these movements were sponsored by the opposition party as their strategy to distract the present administration.

He said: “We know it is part of the strategy of the PDP to continue to take actions to cause distractions so that the governing party will not focus on anything that is important to the people of Nigeria.”
Mr Issa-Onilu added that the party’s major focus was to provide governance in the country for the next four years.
He, therefore, urged members of the party to dissociate themselves and their leaders from rumours that have to do with 2023 elections.
