Former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, aspirants in Nasarawa state on Tuesday organised rally in support of Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the party in 2019 presidential election.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the exercise was also to aid the electoral victory of Rep. Emmanuel Ombugadu, the governorship candidate ahead of the 2019 general elections.

The event also witnessed the inauguration of campaign committees of the party in Lafia.

Solomon Ewuga, one of the aspirants who spoke on behalf of the other three others declared their support for Atiku and Ombugadu.

Mr Ewuga, who said to deliver PDP in the state in 2019, was a collective responsibility, called on all members of the party to join hands in ensuring the electoral victory of PDP.

“We have by today event directed all our supporters across the state to campaign from house-to-house to deliver PDP at all levels.

“We also presented our various blueprints to the candidates in order to harmonise them into a single document that would ensure victory for our party and make Nigeria work.” he said.

He promised that he and his colleagues would mobilise the people of the state to ensure overall victory for the party.

Francis Orugu, PDP Chairman in the state and Yamusa Mohammed, Director-General of campaign, expressed gratitude to the people of the state for their support to the party.

The duo assured the public that the party had a comprehensive blueprint to ensure job creation, career progression for civil servants, address security challenges among others.
