In what looks like an after-thought, the embattled clerical staff of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Philomena Chiesche, has reacted to reports claiming that a mysterious snake swallowed N36m.

Trending last week was a story in which Mrs Chiesche, a clerk in the accounts office of the board and a lady connived to steal N36m “spiritually” through a mysterious snake.

They claimed that a snake would always sneak into the office to swallow the money from the board’s vault.

However, in an interview with CNN, Mrs Chiesche denied the allegations, adding that she was yet to be questioned about the missing funds.

According to her, the board invented the story about the snake and handed her to the authorities.

She said “I did not say any money was swallowed by a snake. Nobody questioned me about that case.

”I am just a clerk and I served under directors who are accounting officers. I wonder why they are personalising the case?”
