An undisclosed man from Mandawari Ward of Kano State on Monday while attempting to rape a 19-year-old girl, cut her throat with a knife.
DAILY NIGERIAN correspondent gathered that the alleged rapist cut her throat after she refused to allow him gain access to her body.
It was also gathered that the rapist had also used the knife on another person who came to the young lady’s rescue.

As at time of filing this report, the lady was still receiving treatment and regaining consciousness in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano.
Similarly, the allegedly rapist is in police custody.
