President Muhammdu Buhari has received the leader of the Tijaniyya sect, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi at the State House in Abuja on Thursday.
Photos from their meeting were shared on Facebook by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
“President Buhari receives Renowned Islamic Scholar and Leader of Tijaniyya Sect Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi in State House on 19th Aug 2021,” Mr Adesina captioned the photo.
The Sheikh was accompanied by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami.
In an earlier visit to convey the president’s sympathy over the killing of 25 Muslim travellers, Mr Pantami assured the cleric of the president’s plan to see him.
