Plateau police nabs 5 kidnap suspects, rescue 115 rustled cows

Plateau State Commissioner of Police,  Austin Agbonlahor, has paraded five kidnap suspects at the Jos Command Headquarters on Monday.
Mr Agbonlahor said, “On receipt of the information, detectives swung into action and mobilised to the Komboloro bush where the suspects were tracked and the victims rescued unhurt without payment of any ransom.
Three of the suspects identified as Abba Sa’eed, Kabiru and Abdullahi Kabiru were said to have abducted a six-year-old boy named Aliyu Aminu at the Angwa Rogo Area of Jos.
The commissioner however expressed his happiness as luck ran out of the suspects when the police arrested them in their hideouts.
He explained that they demanded the sum of twelve million naira from the boy’s father  before they could release him.
He added that the other two suspects were said to have abducted a 56-year-old woman and her daughter in Wase Local Government Area of the state and took them into the bush.
“They have confessed to their crimes and will be charged to court soonest after police investigation is concluded,” he revealed.
He further stated that his men recovered 115 cows rustled by five armed men in Jos South Local Government Area, but the rustlers fled when they noticed that security personnel were closing in on them.
He however informed that the recovered cows belonging to one Mallam Abdullahi have been handed over to him while efforts are being intensified to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
