Husseni Bala got the decisive goal for the visitors. At the Muhammadou Dikko Stadium, substitute Kayode Olaniran rescued a point for Shooting Stars as they came from behind to hold Katsina United to a 1-1 draw, while Gombe United were held to a goalless draw by Akwa United.
Sani Nasiru opened scores for the hosts from the sport in the first half, but Olaniran ensured 3SC went home with a share of the spoils.

The same scoreline ended Nasarawa United’s clash with Sunshine Stars, with Olayinka Onaolapo’s 53rd minute goal cancelled by substitute Sunday Oluwadare’s equaliser.
