Some restrictions on shopping malls were lifted during the pre-Christmas period, but will resume shortly after the holidays.

The new aid package will come in the form of various instruments aimed at compensating the firms’ costs, but also in the form of direct liquidity injections, Morawiecki said.

So far during the pandemic, Poland has supported its firms with 150 billion zloty in aid, including nearly 61 billion in direct liquidity injections, the prime minister said.

According to Morawiecki, the Polish economy may return to its pre-pandemic state at the turn of 2021/2022.
