The Katsina State Police Command has confirmed the release of 30 children abducted by bandits in the state.

The children were abducted on Monday while searching for fire in Kasai village in the Batsari Local Government Area of the state.

The police public relations officer in the state, Abubakar Sadiq, confirmed the rescue to our correspondent.

He, however, said all the victims have been rescued and reunited with their families.

“Yes. It true. The children went to fetch fireworks when they were accosted by the bandits.

“But, upon hearing the information, we swung into the rescue operation, and alhamdulilah, they have been rescued and reunited with their families,” Mr Abubakar said.
