Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have rescued a female soldier and two other women abducted ALONG Ibadan-Ijebu Ode Road, Oluyole local government area of Oyo state on Monday.
The three female victims it was learnt were rescued by the policemen and other local hunters and vigilantes at about 9am.
It was further gathered that following the combing of the bushes along the Onipe village axis of the Ibadan – Ijebu Ode road by police, the women were sighted coming out of their captivity in the bush into the waiting hands of the standby security operatives.
On sighting the three women, the police operatives, led by the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Idi Ayunre Division, rushed at the women at Triton Fish Company, by a bush at Ogunmakin community.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Adewale Osifeso, while confirming the feat disclosed that it was achieved through police operatives’ efforts at dismantling the operations of the captors.
“As a result of ceaseless strategic and systematic utilisation of intelligence and operational assets, the tactical sweep embarked upon, as coordinated by the Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, has yielded desired results,” he said.
