Polls: Tinubu engaged more with Nigerians than other presidential candidates – TAG Convener
The Convener, The Asiwaju Group, TAG, and Deputy Chairman, APC PCC United Kingdom, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, has disclosed that the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has engaged with Nigerians more than any other presidential candidates in the country.
Mr Abdullahi made the disclosure during the APC presidential campaign rally in Owerri, Imo State where President Muhammadu Buhari and many other party stalwarts graced the occasion.
Other dignitaries include the host governor, Hope Uzodimma, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi.
According to him, Mr Buhari’s attendance has sent a clear message that he is in support of Mr Tinubu in soul and spirit.
He said: “Our party was blessed to have fielded Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. A look at his campaigns so far shows he has engaged more than any other Candidate.
“Aside his competency to consolidate on the milestones of President Muhammadu Buhari, he has shown from his engagements with critical stakeholders so far that he is a man well prepared for the job.
“This may have accounted for why the opposition is jittery and has involved itself in endless propaganda against our candidate. In the end, God will show them that He is for us,” Mr Abdullahi affirmed.
“Earlier before the epoch-making event, party stalwarts and members from across Imo State had converged at the venue of the campaign in their numbers.
“The crowd witnessed at the event clearly showed that the ruling party APC is making serious incursion in the South-East region which hitherto has been predominantly a ‘natural habitat’ for opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“The good People of the South-East clearly showed love and acceptance for our great Party, APC,” he added.
