The Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of PRNigeria, Yushau Shuaib, will be speaking at the 4th edition of the Nigerian Social Media Summit scheduled to hold in Abuja on October 19.
The summit, which will take place at the IBI Centre, Wuse 2, has as its theme: ‘Social media as a tool for participatory governance’.
According to the media committee headed by Olugbenga Toki, the event will have YZ Yau of the Centre for Information Technology advancement and Development as its chairman.
Mr Gbenga, while noting the importance of the social media, said everyone should be concerned about its usage, especially how it could be used towards developing the country.
Other guests expected at the event include: Barrister Adebayo Shittu, former Minister of Communications Technology; Muhktar Sirajo, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations President; Mary Uduma, Chairperson, Nigerian Internet Governance forum.
Amina Salihu (MacArthur Foundation), Emmanuel Ogbeche, Chairman, Nigerian Union Of Journalists Chairman, Federal Capital Territory Chapter; Bala Ciroma, Commissioner of Police, FCT; Jaafar Jaafar, Editor-In-Chief, Daily Nigerian; Gidado Yushau Shuaib, Editor-in-Chief, YouthsDigest; Bolaji Repete, Deputy National Youth Leader, APC; and John Aaron, Technical Assistant to Kaduna State Governor on Intergovernmental relations.

The organizers also noted that Civil Society Organizations, media houses, Media development experts among other top guests are expected at the summit. Participants are expected to be corporately dressed to the summit.
