A 20-year-old girl who caught the attention of the world for her strange way of living has died on Sunday.
A relative of the physically challenged girl said Rahma suddenly died after a brief illness.
Rahma’s story went viral in January when her pictures, carried by her 10-year-old brother in bowl, drew sympathy and attracted a lot of donations in cash, cloth, foodstuff, among others.
Born in Lahadin Makole village in Kano, Rahma, who barely had any limb, suffered stunted growth of torso.
She lived on receiving alms to feed herself and help her parents.
