As the holy month of Ramadan 1444AH sets he The Executive Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni has approved a Ramadan support food packgage for 25,000 vulnerable households and IDPs across the state.

The Executive Secretary of Yobe State Emergency Management Agency, YOSEMA, Dr. Mohammed Goje, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

Mr Goje added that the governor directed YOSEMA to coordinate and ensure successful distribution of the support items to targeted vulnerable household across the state.

The statement said: “The Ramadan support is aimed at providing immediate food needs to the most vulnerable population to cushion their hardship in the holy month.

“YOSEMA alongside stakeholders at state and LGA levels have since initiated a distribution plan that will ensure delivery of food items to the beneficiaries effective first week of Ramadan 1444AH.

“To fastrack His Excellency’s directives, YOSEMA has since dispatched consignment for six (6) LGAs while others to follow immediately in accordance with plan distribution.

“While appreciating His Excellency’s timely gesture, YOSEMA admonishes stakeholders to ensure immediate distribution at local government and community levels to the targeted beneficiaries as directed by the Governor.

“It is our prayers that may Almighty Allah SWT accept all our good deeds and keep us guided on the righteous path during the forthcoming Holy month of Ramadan.”
