President Bola Tinubu has urged wealthy Nigerians to continue to show love to the less privileged by sharing part of their wealth.

Mr Tinubu made the call at the first yearly Ramadan Tafsir at the State House Mosque on Tuesday in Abuja.

He said that the Islamic month of Ramadan teaches sober reflection, love and a sense of sacrifice on the part of believing Muslims and should be a guide to neighbourliness.

“It’s in our hands to make that sacrifices and share whatever little we have with our brothers and sisters. Be kind and humble enough to them to make the sacrifice of this month felt in their lives,” he said.

The Chief Imam of State House Mosque, Abdulwahid Suleiman, called on Nigerians to continue to pray for the leaders in their efforts at solving challenges of the country.

“Allah has made you the leader of Nigeria today, may He give you the guidance, wisdom and foresight to steer the affairs of the citizens,” he said.

Mr Suleiman assured the President of the continuous support of the Muslim Ummah to his administration, adding that it is only God that gives power to whomever He wants.
