The Borno State Teaching Service Board has disclosed that it would not consider distance learning certificate holders for promotion and recruitment of teachers in the state.

This was contained in a circular with reference number TSB/CDN/R.7/VOL1, dated September 14, and addressed to all principals.

The circular, which was signed by Malah Abatcha, the acting director of administration and supplies, on behalf of the executive chairman, said the decision was reached at the board’s meeting held on September 13, 2023.

“Sequel to the Board’s meeting held on 13th September, 2023. I am directed to inform you that the Borno State Teaching Service Board, with effect from the date of this circular, will not consider certificates in distance learning for promotion and recruitment of teachers.
