The National Examinations Council, NECO, has debunked the rumored assassination of its Registrar, Godswill Obioma, saying that he died in his sleep as a result of heart failure.

The NECO’s Director of Human Resources, Abdul Mustapha, made the disclosure on Tuesday following reports of Mr Obioma’s assassination by unknown gunmen in Minna, the Niger State capital.

According to Mr Mustapha, the son of the deceased registrar had informed the management of the agency that his father was not assassinated.
