Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has declared the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Ayuba Wabba, and other members of the union wanted.
Recall that the NLC leader had on Monday led other workers union for a mass protest over alleged anti-workers policies in the state.
But Mr El-Rufai, in a tweet on Tuesday, accused the labour unions of economic sabotage and attacks on public infrastructure, saying that such was punishable under “Miscellaneous Offences Act”.
The governor said there would be a “handsome reward” for anyone who knows the whereabouts of the union leaders.
“KADUNA UPDATE: Ayuba Wabba & others of @NLCHeadquarters declared wanted for economic sabotage & attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act.
“Anyone that knows where he is hiding should send a message to @MOJKaduna. KDSG. There will be a handsome reward!,” Mr El-Rufai wrote.
