The Kaduna State Government on Tuesday announced one week free transportation and basic health services to ease the hardship being encountered by residents of the state due to the current cash crunch.

A statement by Muyiwa Adekeye, special adviser to the Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Media and Communication, said the decision was taken at the end of the State Security Council meeting in Kaduna.

He however said the free transport services would only be along designated routes in Kaduna, Kafanchan and Zaria.
