A salesgirl, Blessing Okwudili, on Monday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing four pieces of MacBook Pro and a Samsung A32, all worth N4.97 million.
Ms Okwudili, whose residential address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
She, however, pleaded not guilty.
According to the prosecutor, Olusegun Kokoye, the defendant committed the offences on Aug. 4, at 1:00 p.m. at No. 2, People Street, Computer Village, Ikeja.
Mr Kokoye, a police inspector, said that the defendant stole four MacBook Pro and one Samsung A32, all valued at N4,974,000, adding that she stole also N29,000 cash.
Mr Kokoye said that the items belong to one Onyema Emeka.
He said the offences contravened Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The magistrate, Sakirat Obasa, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N250,000 and two sureties.
Ms Obasa adjourned the case until October 25, for mention.
