Many pupils have been reportedly abducted following a bandit attack in LEA Primary School, Kuriga, in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.

Although the exact number of people abducted could not be ascertained, reports said the victims were over 100.

It was also gathered that the head teacher of the school and some other staff are reportedly among the victims.

A resident of the area, Shitu, who confirmed the attack, told the Daily Trust that most of the pupils ran out of their classes when they sighted the bandits on the school premises.

Another resident, Lawal Kuriga, also told the newspaper that the abducted victims were marched into the forest.

When contacted, the chief press secretary to Governor Uba Sani, Muhammad Lawal-Shehu, didn’t respond to phone calls as of the time of filing this report.
