The members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, caucus in the Senate have removed Ali Ndume as Majority Leader.
In a letter sent to the Senate President Bukola Saraki by the caucus announced the choice of Saraki’s main challenger, Ahmed Lawan as replacement.
Reacting to the decision after Tuesday’s plenary, Mr. Ndume told journalists that the decision came as a rude shock to him, saying he was unaware of any plan to remove him.
