President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has congratulated an elder statesman, Mamman Daura, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
Lawn’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media, Ola Awoniyi.

He applauded Daura’s love for Nigeria and its people, a virtue which, he noted, had drawn him friends and associates from across political and religious spectra of the country.
The senate president also praised the elder statesman’s passionate and meritorious service to the nation.
He described Daura’s life as exemplary and worthy of emulation by all Nigerians who share his passion and hope for the unity and development of the country.
Mr Lawan prayed Allah to grant him more fruitful years, in good health
